Uptown Night Market LOVES Women-Owned Businesses

With our second season coming up, we began looking at what really matters to our business. And what mattered the most was diversity: race, gender, sexuality, religion, culture, these are all aspects reflected in our vendors. In this instance, Uptown Night Market recognizes the importance of girl power. After all, the festival is predominantly run by women. In 2022, we continue to ask for everyone to put their money where their mouth is and support female vendors. Here are 5 of our favorite female-owned businesses from 2021 (in no particular order).

1. Spoonable Spirits

Kelli Lipson KNOWS what you 21+ people NEED! Spoonable spirits come in flavors such as Choco Caramel Whiskey, Rum N Cookie, Vanilla Vodka, and MORE!

2. Island Love Cakes

These tropical cakes made by Sandra Soogrim bring rich flavors into a sweet treat. The three main flavors are Aged Rum, Coconut Rum, and Pure White Cognac!

3. Arnie & Ebony Catering

This catering company run by sisters Andrielle and Ebony Jackson brings the soul to Harlem. With any protein (fish, chicken, turkey) and delicious sides like baked mac & cheese, potato salad, and others, they will have you LICKING your container.

4. The Egg Roll Queen

Angela Fuller knows what she’s doing with her ROLLS! Whether you want collared soul, Caribbean island, or Mexican egg rolls, she GOT YOU! Yes, she even has VEGAN OPTIONS!

5. Uptownn

Uptownn’s Nicollette Harris LOVES to explore different cuisines in new, creative ways. Try dishes like curry chicken empanadas, jerk chicken bao buns, jerk shrimp pineapple bowls, and MANY MORE!

And there you have it. While we have plenty of amazing female vendors, this is just a TASTE. If you want to know who else is coming, you’re going to have to make an appearance yourself!!! Mark your calendars so you can see if any of these vendors join us this season. For more information, RSVP here or subscribe to our weekly newsletter here. See you April 14!
